Zum Abschluss des heutigen Mixtapetages gibt es noch einmal 2 Tapes, die nicht ganz so traditionell gelagert sind, wie das restliche Tagesprogramm. Den Anfang macht das Remix Album Re-Living Thing, dass mir von Reality Check ans Herz gelegt wurde. Es handelt sich dabei um ein Remix Projekt, ähnlich dem ausgesprochen guten Stars & Stripes von Adrian Champion. Für dieses Projekt wurde das Album Living Thing der schwedischen Indierock Band Peter Bjorn & John von diversen HipHop Produzenten geremixed bzw. als Sample Quelle genutzt um daraus Tracks für Talib Kweli, U-N-I, Wale, GZA, Buckshot, Evidence, Black Milk, GZA, Big Pooh, Fashawn, Rhymefest, GLC, Bun B, Naledge & Mickey Factz uva. zu schustern. An den Reglern waren u.a. DJ Jazzy Jeff, 6th Sense, Cookin Soul, Marco Polo, The Kickdrums und The Apple Juice Kid. Stehen diese Namen normalerweise größtenteils für relativ klassische Boombap Instrumentals, ist der Sound den sie aus den Tracks von Peter Bjorn & John kreieren deutlich experimenteller, was natürlich vor allem an den Samples liegt. Interessantes Projekt, das von Mick Boogie präsentiert wird, für meinen Geschmack ist es etwas zu ‘anders’, aber uninteressant ist es nicht zu hören wie Jazzy Jeff einen Indie Song chopped.
