Joell Ortiz & Novel Present – Defying The Predictable

Ein Mixtape, das sicherlich auch schon fast jeder hat, der sich dafür interessiert, aber der Vollständigkeit halber soll, es hier nicht fehlen. Joell Ortiz und Novel haben sich zu einem gemeinsamen Mixtape zusammengetan heraus gekommen ist “Defying The Predictable”. Joell Ortiz ist definitiv ein guter Rapper und so ist dieses Mixtape auch durchaus hörbar, wo allerdings das Vorhersehbare herausgefordert wird, höre ich auf den ersten Eindruck nicht, vielleicht weil man Autotune im Jahr 2010 nicht mehr umbedingt erwarten würde. Dank Novel ist das Mixtape deutlich poppiger,  als man es sonst vom Slaughterhouse Mitglied kennt. Zu hören gibt es Remixes (unter anderem vom ‘08 Hit Hip Hop mit Saigon und Jadakiss), ansonsten Features von Papoose und den Schlachthof Jungs und Beats von Statik Selektah. Mir gefällt Ortiz sonst deutlich besser.
